Millbrook's IB Diploma Programme is an open-access programme. This means that any rising Millbrook 11th grade student is welcome to join us! Your only requirement to join is that you watch our Diploma Programme Information Video, our DP Scheduling Tutorial, and join the Diploma Programme Coordinator for an Information Session. Step 1: MHS DP Information Video

This nine minute video will give you an introduction to Millbrook's IB Diploma Programme, addressing the structure of the Diploma Programme, its value and demands, and discussing the Diploma Programme's impact on the college application process, and offering a number of student voices sharing the value of their Diploma Programme experience.

Step 2: Join a Diploma Programme Information Session
Once you have watched the DP Information Video, join us for a one-hour discussion with the Diploma Programme coordinator and some current Diploma Programme students. We will discuss the unique nature of DP classes, share student experiences with the programme, and answer your questions. Sessions are kept to a small number of families to allow us to address all of your questions. They are held at various times during the day to allow for parent scheduling flexibility. Additional meetings will be added as the current meetings fill or pass. Click HERE to join a meeting.
Step 3: Watch our MHS DP Scheduling Tutorial Video

The Diploma Programme schedule reflects the academic demand of the Diploma Programme. The student will be taking rigorous IB courses across the academic curriculum over the two years of the programme. Students will make choices about which sciences, maths, arts or other DP electives they will take to satisfy the DP requirements. The scheduling process can be complicated and confusing. This video will help the students and parents better understand that process. Before watching, please download, and print if possible, the MHS DP Course Registration Worksheet.

Step 4: Join an additional (optional) Q/A Session
If the student and/or parent have questions remaining as they consider what they have seem from the videos, heard from the students and coordinator, and discussed among themselves, they can attend one of our scheduled Follow-up Q/A sessions. These sessions are only for those who have already attended a DP Information Session. The schedule and links will be shared following attendance at that initial meeting.
Step 5: Submit your Intent to Participate Form
The MHS DP Intent to Participate Form is the student and parent's commitment to join the Diploma Programme and fulfill the demands of the programme over the next two years. It also serves as Millbrook's commitment to provide the student with a unique academic experience that will provide opportunity for significant academic and personal growth. The Intent to Participate form can only be submitted after the student and parent have watched the required information videos and joined a DP Information Session.
